The Pier One Theatre, Gary Thomas “Live Large” Fund

In 2022 The Pier One Theatre, Gary Thomas “Live Large” Fund joined the family of agency endowment funds at the Homer Foundation: Permanent funds established for the benefit of 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, either by the organization or a donor. The Funds are managed by the Foundation with income distributed to the organizations annually.

An endowment fund in the care of The Homer Foundation

Among his many other pursuits, Gary was a long-time participant at Pier One Theatre, on stage and off. He was a delightful performer, lent his auctioneering skills to every end-of-season party, volunteered his time as an usher, or carpenter, or wherever was needed, and supported his children in their own theatrical pursuits. We are grateful to Gary’s family, and are honored to establish this fund in his name and in his spirit.
— Jennifer Norton, Executive Director

This fund was established in memory of Gary Thomas by his wife Laura Patty and children Mica Thomas, Mariah Greenwald, and Jenny Doherty to aid in the long-term sustainability of Pier One Theatre. Community members may add to this fund at any time to help ensure the continuation of vibrant community theatre on the Kenai Peninsula.
