Nancy Lander

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Nancy is Pier One Theatre's Front of House (FOH) Volunteer Coordinator. In this position she is a Volunteer herself, bringing a wealth of experience running  Volunteer programs. Locally she ran Volunteer programs at South Peninsula Women's Services (now Haven House) in the 1980s, the Hospice of Homer program in 1989-1990 and programs in Anchorage before school and in St Louis after graduation from Social Work School in 1983. Advocacy, Empowerment and Administration are her training and passion. She became involved with Pier One Theatre years when her daughter participated in youth productions and her husband became involved with the Kenai Peninsula Orchestra. She served as the President of the KPO board while it was still a branch of Pier One, and enjoyed organizing the Winter Concert Series, and Champagne, Chocolate & Chopin a la Tutka. She is also an avid gardener and helps maintain the flower boxes in front of the Spit Theatre.
